ShareIT Kick Off
Yesterday we had a kick off meeting for the ShareIT project in sunny Bodø. ShareIT represents a significant advancement in digital collaboration within the healthcare sector. The innovation project focuses on developing user-friendly solutions that allow healthcare professionals to share important data across different parts of the healthcare system.
The partners in the project include Nordland Hospital Trust, DIPS, Aidn, SINTEF Digital, Vestvågøy municipality, Helsenord RHF, Cambridge University, and Kaiku Health.
The main objective is to provide healthcare professionals with access to necessary information within their electronic patient records, enabling them to deliver safe and efficient patient care. These solutions will simplify the daily tasks of healthcare professionals, save valuable time, and improve the quality and safety of patient care. The demand for such resource-saving solutions is significant both nationally and internationally. The project utilizes advanced methods for data sharing based on APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). These APIs enable different software programs to communicate with each other and share vital health data in a structured, understandable, and secure manner.
ShareIT will integrate software from various providers across the healthcare system using APIs, thereby fostering an open market for modern solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. ShareIT involves various segments of the healthcare service such as hospital and primary care, tech companies, research entities, and governmental bodies. The project aims to develop new knowledge and a model for optimizing collaborative processes among numerous stakeholders to enhance innovation within digital healthcare. ShareIT is funded by the Health Pilot program in the Norwegian Research Council.
